This inspection took place on 13 and 14 March 2018 and was unannounced on the first day. We last inspected the service 06 and 07 June 2017 when we rated the service as good. I feel very privileged and honoured to be part of this experience and to help in the process of making the decision to join our community. Inspection ratings
Residents dining in their own room have the same food options as elsewhere. Snacks are provided for residents that require texture-modified food. My career in care started back in 2010 as a Home Administrator in a nursing home. Once I started interacting with the residents, I knew where I wanted my career to be.
At the time of this inspection 80 people were living in the Sunrise Bramhall community. Autumna is the UK's largest and most comprehensive later-life living & elderly care directory. Our website is free to use, we are proudly independent, and we never take referral fees. We offer first-class, residential care, personalised dementia care and assisted living. We also provide respite care if your loved one is recovering after a hospital stay or if you need a break from your everyday routine.

There are lovely dining areas and gardens for all to enjoy, though also the privacy of large ensuite bedrooms to retire to. Ensuring there is no drastic lifestyle shift when moving into Sunrise, the care home offers wide-ranging activities so that residents can enjoy the same hobbies and passions they always have. With six organised activities a day, there’s also the option to try something new – from tai chi to cooking and flower arranging. It is so very rewarding to see residents smiling and laughing each day.

Chester House Care Home 138 Chester Road, Hazel Grove, Stockport, SK7 6HE ★★★☆ Chester House Care Home is located in Hazel Grove, Stockport and can provide care for up to 14 adults with a range of requirements. The home has a large conservatory which is used as a smoking area as well... Reinbek 287 Bramhall Lane, Davenport, Stockport, SK3 8TB ★★★☆ Reinbek is a purpose-built care home, registered for forty-four service users, with a selection of lounges and secluded gardens.
Accommodation is on two floors and is divided into ‘community’ areas. Assisted living accommodation provided some single studio suites that could be shared by up to two people such as a married couple. Reminiscence rooms had a similar layout to those in assisted living and were situated on the ground floor.

Vital equipment such as lifts and fire systems were properly looked after by outside contractors. We looked at the home’s arrangements for protecting people against the risk of infection and we saw that they had proper policies and procedures and that staff were trained. We looked at the assessments and care plans for some people and they were appropriate and up to date.
However, a paid subscription allows more information to be added and as a result a higher profile score. We think it’s important you have detailed, comprehensive information so that you can decide which care providers to shortlist. New services are assessed to check they are likely to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. – there are some services which we can’t rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon. – the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
The community is owned and managed by Sunrise Senior Living, an American based operator which provides independent living, assisted living, nursing and dementia care services for older people. The service, which is known as a ‘community’, is divided into two separate neighbourhoods, the ‘assisted living’ neighbourhood and the ‘reminiscence’ neighbourhood. The assisted living neighbourhood provides nursing and residential care for up to 72 older people. The reminiscence neighbourhood provides residential care and support for up to 26 older people living with dementia. Sunrise Operations Bramhall ll is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide personal and nursing care and accommodation for up to 99 older. 73 people receive care in the main part of the home, an ‘assisted living’ neighbourhood.
Medicines were stored safely and administered by designated trained care workers and nurses. Any specific requirements or risks in relation to people taking particular medicines were clearly documented in their care records. At Sunrise of Bramhall a care record is known as an individual service plan .

If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service. Our team is committed to improving the quality of life for our residents. From personalising rooms to catering for your tastes and preferences in the dining room, its the little things that make a big difference. We last inspected the service 9 January 2017 when we rated the service as requires improvement. At that time we found the service was in breach of four regulations of the Health and Social Care Act Regulations 2014, these related to person centred care, medicines management, governance and staffing.
Meadway Court employs a team of carers who are skilled in a wide range of service practices, including high dependency care and dementia care. Archived services are ones which are no longer part of a provider's registration with CQC. The provider was addressing these issues prior to and during the inspection. To be awarded the Choice Dining badge, a care home will have committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences with a strong focus on preference, individuality, hygiene and the environment.
These ratings were awarded to the previous provider who owned this service. We show these ratings to help you understand the history of this service. These assessments can include site visits, criminal record checks, interviews with key managers and a detailed review of how the service will be run. Follow-up inspections of new services are undertaken regularly following registration. We tailor our care plans to each resident, making sure they get the right level of care for their needs. We also have a dedicated activities and events coordinator to keep our residents active and engaged with a range of daily social and well-being activities such as monthly music club.
